How to watch live football (soccer) — for free!

This article is still relevant. It is an easy way to find games but as one of the comments points out, it’s really the listings that are lacking. Some are in dedicated forums to whichever team and in general they are hard to find. Instead of using the article’s instructions, you may find yourself better off looking at the MyP2P.eu Live Sport listing or visiting their homepage. I still think, however, that using Google is just as quick

This is your simple guide, one step guide to watching live streams of your favorite football (soccer) match for free. Note that I assume this guide will work for most matches in the English premier league, Spanish La Liga, and Italian Serie A (probably the German Bundesliga as well) as well as any non-league matches teams from those leagues are playing in (like the Champions league, Copa del Rey, etc.).
Steps:
1) NEVER PAY A CENT TO ONLINE SOCCER WEBSITES – Never pay for anything. There are many sites that guarantee a legal means to watching all live soccer (from here on “football’) matches but all they really do it collect links for you and organize them by date. It may seem like a small sum to pay for someone to do the hard work (i.e. finding the match streams) but when you reach the end of this short guide, you will see that the search is in fact easy thereby making the cost unjustifiable. Whether any of these streams are legal or not is not my domain (though it seems like a clear violation of copyright law) as I’m not a lawyer. Peer to peer methods of streaming, however, are not illegal since there is no one source of the “file” and therefore no one can be held entirely responsible.
2) DOWNLOAD THE SOFTWARE – Now you have to find the stream, or the live link, to the match you want to watch. There are several applications that enable you to watch these live streams and these need to be installed before you can watch. Here are the names of the software you need and a link to its download location:
- Sopcast
- TVU
- PPStream – this is optional. The site is in Chinese but as of this writing this is what the download link looks like:

Install all the software and you will probably never have to start the software yourself as we shall soon see. Also, it is important to not that you should give these programs permission to access the internet (some sort of “low restricted” category”) by properly configuring your anti-virus software or letting the application’s installation continue if your anti-virus software warns you during the installation.
3) FIND THE MATCH YOU WANT TO WATCH – Check the fixture listings to find the match you want to watch (if you don’t already know it). You can check out what matches are currently underway at this page on my website.
4) SEARCH FOR THE STREAM – Now we are going to find the live stream in a few seconds! Using Google, type “myp2p [team1] [team2]“ where [team1] is, say, “Arsenal,” and [team2], as an example, “Manchester United.” (don’t include the comma or period of course).

The indented link is the most recent and that is the one to click on. Notice that all we are doing is finding the match on the website MyP2P.eu. You could just go there and search but Google is a better search engine and this method has worked for me every time and is very efficient.
4) CLICK THE STREAM’S LINK AND WATCH! – You are almost watching live. All you have to do is scroll down the page and look for a link to an English stream (if that is the language you want to watch in) that says either “Sopcast, “TVU,” or “PPStream” (if you installed it) next to it and has a high stream rate (over 300 Kbps is sufficient) and click on it. The software that the stream requires should automatically open. Wait for the channel to buffer and voila! You should now be watching live. The links are arranged according to “channel” and after a few weeks of watching you will notice that some streams are consistently reliable.
Below is an example that I retrieved on March 11, 2009 when searching for the AS Roma versus Arsenal in the second match of the round of 16 for the Champions League.
Broadcast options
Notice that the last broadcaster, “Zee Sports” has “[EN]” after it. This indicates the broadcast should be in English but this is never guaranteed. I chose the Setanta US Sopcast link, streaming at 505 Kbps. I was watching live soccer, for free, a minute after my search began.
Note that if you you can’t find the match you are looking for above it might be because of MyP2P’s organization and Google’s indexing method. For example, if you wanted to watch the F.A. cup tie between Manchester United and Fulham the right link to click on is shown below:

This is a link to an entry in the MyP2P forum. The link to the live broadcast should be in the first post in the linked forum post. Here is the link for the above example:

The link might not always look like that but it should be in the first post. For the Roma/Arsenal example, here is what Google showed me when I queried it for “myp2p arsenal roma”:

watching,there are a lot of p2p websites but only a few lLiveguides,Iff you get installed the software tvu,sopcast and maybe one more you can watch all,the problem are that not every channel you want to watch you can find it back on your pc,you need to use a live guide,Rojadirecta.org,myp2p.org/myp2p.eu,Sometimes you find a lot with the barca4ever group uk tv soccer streams and there are two or three more!
