I’ve decided on my favorite football player of all time…
Ronaldo, the Brazilian phenomenon, is in
my opinion the most prolific scorer of all
time and therefore the best.
The ball amazingly sticks to his feet
And he scores all the time from all types of shots
He’s played for lots of teams over the years…Cruzeiro (14/12 – stats in appearances/goals)
Arriving in the Netherlands: the PSV years (45, 42)!!!
Ronaldo’s lone season at Barcelona (an especially incredible goal scoring streak by O Fenômeno – (37,32) and that is in top flight la Liga…
Ronaldo at Inter (69/56)
His big move to Real Madrid (127, 83)
The Brazilian Ronaldo has won the Ballon d’Or twice. First in 1997 and then an incredible five years later, after overcoming several injuries became the second player to to win two of the most coveted individual prize in football. While the Champions League silverware eluded the Phenomenon, he still won the Euefa Cup with Inter and the La Liga twice (check out the Wikipedia article for much more information on his achievments). Ronaldo went on to A.C. Milan (20/9) for a short period and in 20 appearances scored nine goals. After confirming he was leaving Milan to return to Brazil, Ronaldo controversially signed with Corinthians after participating in training with arch rivals Flamengo in the top Brazilian flight. Check out his latest hat trick…looking pretty tubby but still has the skills.
His goal achievements are incredible. But let’s calculate his club stats. In 335 appearances he scores 250 goals. He scores, on average, 1.34 goals a game. Talk about a reliable player. But…wait…aren’t we forgetting something? He holds the record for the most goals scored in World Cup history at 15. For the Brazilian national team he hauled in two World Cups.
